“Your Awakened Life” Women’s Conference offers a powerful day of connection, encouragement, and faith-filled insight. Join 200+ other women on a journey toward greater awareness, courage, and spiritual growth as you awaken to the life God is calling you to live.

Join women of all ages for a day on our historic, 10-acre campus attending a series of talks and workshops presented by acclaimed thought leaders on this year’s theme “Your Awakened Life.” Each participant creates a personalized experience by registering for her own selections based on offerings intended to inspire, support, and honor women. The conference includes breakfast and lunch and has sold out the past three years. We anticipate the same enthusiasm this year!

    Betsy Holmberg is an award-winning psychologist and author who specializes in overthinking and negative self-talk. She writes for Psychology Today and is the author of Unkind Mind: The Neuroscience of Why Women Are So Hard on Themselves—and How to Quiet Your Inner Critic for Good.

    Before entering private practice, Betsy led the global behavioral health service line at McKinsey & Company and worked at Harvard, where she co-authored peer-reviewed research. She is trained in EMDR, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavioral therapies and earned her doctorate, master’s, and B.A. in Psychology from Duke University.

    Elizabeth “Libbie” Schrader Polczer, Ph.D., is Assistant Professor of New Testament at Villanova University, with a doctorate in Early Christianity from Duke University. She specializes in textual criticism, Mary Magdalene, and the Gospel of John, and has presented her research at major universities in the U.S. and Germany.

    Before academia, she was a professional singer/songwriter, opening for Jewel and touring nationally. Her music appeared on Gilmore Girls. Inspired by a song about Mary Magdalene, she entered theological study; her master’s thesis was published in Harvard Theological Review, followed by articles in leading biblical studies journals.

  • Iris Eplan, LMSW

    50-min Seminar: “Resonance: A Sound Bath Journey to Inner Stillness.”

    A sound bath is all about vibrational tones, and the effects on the human body & energy fields. The tone  of the instruments works at a cellular level and helps move and clear stress, fatigue, depression, anger,  and blocked energy. Additionally, the vibrations can help release blockages at the Chakras and other  energy points leaving you feeling refreshed, recharged and rejuvenated. Ultimately, a sound bath relaxes  the mind and clears the path for healing, creating a sacred space that welcomes calmness into the heart.

  • Julianne Furniss-Green, LCSW

    Education on the impacts of social media and phone use. Build awareness around personal tech usage and screen time. Make social media work for you. Learn skills and tools to unplug virtually and connect to your community IRL (in real life).

    Julianne holds a Bachelors in Social Work from Western New England University and a Masters in Social Work from Georgia State University. She believes that grief can stem from many life transitions or changes, not just the loss of a loved one. Julianne provides tools and resources to help clients move through difficult times with grace and tap into their strengths for healing and growth.

  • The Rev. Dr. Heather Wright: Pastor of Care and Connection, Stanwich Church

    50-min Seminar: "Legacy By Design: How Our Choices, Faith, and Relationships Shape the Legacy We Leave Behind"

    In our time together we’ll define what our legacy could be by exploring our formative influences, how we define our purpose and what we want to pass along to others.  Exercises and discussion will provide you with deeper insight and ideas to help shape your legacy.

    The Rev. Dr. Heather Wright has served in many different ministries, teaching at and co-founding a graduate school, directing two non-profits in Greenwich one in long-term care chaplaincy and the other in counseling at Greenwich Center for Hope and Renewal. 

    Heather has a heart for helping others find hope and healing and deepen their faith.  She was called to Stanwich in 2018 as Pastor of Care and Connection.  Heather and her husband Mark have three children and 3 grandsons. 

  • Pam Reimers & Eugenie Pavlic

    50-min Seminar: “Bloom Where You’re Planted: Creating Beauty from What's Before You.”

    Eugenie Pavelic and Pam Reimers are award winning floral designers, and Garden Club of America Approved Floral Design Judges. They have spent many years honing their skills, often times collaborating together on various projects for events. They are both members of the Christ Church Alter Guild, and are excited to be presenting at the 2026 Women’s Conference creating and sharing beauty!

  • Elizabeth Fitts, PhD

    50-min Seminar: “Be Still: An introduction to Meditation and Centering Prayer”

    Elizabeth holds degrees in music history, philosophy, sacred music, and organ performance, and enjoyed teaching the History of Rock and Roll while completing her doctorate at the University of Maryland College Park.  She has published works on sacred music, including a six-volume compendium of The New Music Review and Church Music Review (1901-1935).  She has served as a trustee of The Stanwich School and president of the Community Concerts of Greenwich.  A mother of two, and avid reader, she credits the exploration of centering prayer to opening new doors of understanding and community.  She is currently pursuing certification in Spiritual Direction from the Haden Institute.
