  • Sacred Ground Readers Book Group: "Parable of the Sower"

    Parable of the Sower is a 1993 speculative fiction novel by American writer Octavia E. Butler, based on the Bible verses in Matthew, Mark, and Luke. It is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth heavily affected by climate change and social inequality. The novel follows Lauren Olamina, a young woman who can feel the pain of others and becomes displaced from her home.

    Give cheer to homebound parishioners with our Treat Box ministry. Donate cookies and treats to be dropped off in the parish office September 8 - 12, or between 8:30 and 9:30 am on September 13. Please consider volunteering to put the cookies in decorative boxes, and to deliver the boxes to local addresses.
