Worship With Us During the Week

  • Rev. Terry Elsberry “Song of Solomon: The Raciest Book in the Bible”

Join Terry for a lively and insightful exploration of the Bible’s most surprising book—a poetic celebration of love, longing, desire, and the beauty of human intimacy.

  • Rev. Marek Zabriskie “Comparative Study of the World’s Great Religions”

In today’s world full of misunderstanding and division, Rev. Marek invites participants to examine the foundational teachings of Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism. Compare their core beliefs, sacred narratives, ethical frameworks, and spiritual practices.

  • Rev. Suzy Post "Good Grief”

Meet with a small group for those who are grieving a loss. Whether it is mourning the death of a loved one, the end of a marriage, the loss of a job or any other life changes. Good Grief is an opportunity to meet, discuss and work through whatever we may be grieving.

  • Elizabeth Fitts & Lynne Jordal Martin, Jr. Warden “Light Up Your Life: Celebrate Prayer”

Prayer is a conversation with God—but sometimes it so natural we don’t even realize we’re praying. How do we enter into that dialogue? Together, we’ll discover prayer through writing, meditation, reading, movement, and collects. Be surprised by how near God already is.

  • Deacon Susie McNiff & Melissa Murphy “The Middle Eastern Table: History, Flavor, and Hands-On Cooking”

Embark on a four-part culinary journey into the vibrant flavors and ancient grains of the Middle East, where every dish tells a story. You’ll explore the history behind beloved regional ingredients while preparing historical classics with fragrant spices in fresh hummus, tabouli, falafel, and more.

  • Rev. Tim Hamlin “History of the English Reformation”

A historical survey of the foundation of the Church of England from the stirrings of Reformation on the European Continent, to Henry VIII’s fateful divorce, to the creation of the prayer book under Edward VI, the snap back to Catholicism under Mary I, and, finally, the Elizabethan Settlement. Learn about how our church came to be and how its tumultuous history made for its distinctive style.
