Terry served as Associate Rector at Christ Church from 1986-1994, and has now returned as Priest Associate. He recently retired as the Rector of St. Matthew’s Church in Bedford, NY, where he served for the last 23 years. He was ordained at Virginia Theological Seminary in 1984. In 2009 Terry received the annual Episcopal Diocese of New York award for outstanding service to the Diocese for his dedication to hospitals and civic institutions, and for his service to Episcopal Charities. Terry has written several books. Terry is married to Nancy Olds Elsberry, and is the father of four daughters, and has nine grandchildren.
