ADJUNCT SINGING TEACHER

Richard began singing at Christ Church in 2020, after 21 years at St. Thomas Fifth Avenue, and currently enjoys serving as adjunct voice teacher to singers from several of Christ Church’s choirs.  He assists in the nurturing of our teen boys’ changing voices, advising and mentoring their vocal development.  As an active professional singer in New York City and around the world (Opera, Oratorio, as a soloist, choral singer, and as a choral conductor) Richard has been a voice teacher for over 35 years. His younger students have gone on to have active professional solo and choral careers including at The Metropolitan Opera (where he also occasionally sings with the chorus) to non-traditional positions with Disney, pop and rock bands, and other audition/competition-based entities.
