Linda Austin-Small


Music Administrator, 203.869.6600, x-23

Linda joined the staff of Christ Church Greenwich in September 2006.  She is responsible for keeping choir records and history, scheduling musicians for weddings and funerals, scheduling all the rehearsals and other activities of the Music Department, ordering music for the library, working with a variety of volunteers, coordinating choir activities, including trips, choir camp and various other activities and meetings. Additionally, she processes, with the Business Office, the checks and budgets that involve all the operations of the Music Department and keeping the schedules of the musicians.

Linda and her husband, Peter, have been parishioners since 1983 and she was a choir mother for 16 consecutive years from 1984-2000.  Additionally, she worked in the Music Department from November 2000 – December 2001 as Choir Activities Coordinator.  She was the chaperon in residence for five years at choir camp and also chaperoned three trips to Europe, the last being the teen trip with 53 teenagers to Brittany, Normandy and Paris, France and Norwich Cathedral and London in 2001.

Carolyn Daley

Carolyn holds a BA from Salem College (North Carolina) where she majored in Arts/Non-Profit Management and Spanish, with a minor in Art History.  After graduating in 2004, she returned to Greenwich and began work at Left of the Bank Fine Art & Framing.  There she worked as Gallery Director for two years while learning the art and trade of picture framing.  Carolyn’s professional past includes working for the Old Greenwich Music Studio as a music educator in area preschools, including Christ Church Nursery School.

Carolyn, a native of Greenwich, joined Christ Church Greenwich with her family in 1989; singing in the St. Cecilia Girl’s Choir for a short time, and becoming an active member of the Youth Group and Acolyte team.  She was also a confirmand in Christ Church’s Class of 1998. Carolyn and her husband, Gossett Daley, Jr. -- also a native of Greenwich -- were married at Christ Church in September 2012.

Gregg Gregory

Gregg recently returned to Christ Church Greenwich as Director, Children's Ministries.  Prior to his return, Gregg had been a Co-Director, Children's Ministries, at Chrst Church Greenwich for thirteen years.

Richard Gregory

Richard joined the staff of Christ Church Greenwich in September 2010 as a part time Assistant in Children's Ministries.  Richard is primarily on campus on the weekends, as he is a Middle School Social Studies Teacher in Port Chester, NY, during the week.

Gervais Hearn

Gervais joined the staff of Christ Church Greenwich in 2006 as Assistant Director, Capital Campaign.  In the fall of 2008, she was promoted to Director Parish Development.  Gervais is responsible for the Appeal, Legacy Giving, the Capital Campaign and Parish Growth.  

Gervais and her husband, Paul, joined Christ Church Greenwich in 1993.  They have both been very active parishioners - they both served on the Vestry, Paul was the Treasurer for seven years, and Gervais Chaired the Youth Commission.  They have three daughters, Brandy, Lexie, and Meggy.

Jamie Hitel

Jamie joined the staff of Christ Church Greenwich in the fall of 2008.  Prior to joining our staff,  he served as the Organist and Master of Choristers at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Akron, Ohio, a parish with a vibrant music program including various choirs of men and boys, girls, and adults. He has also served as Director of Music at Waltham Abbey in the United Kingdom; as Organist Choirmaster at a parish church in Norway; and as Director of Chapel Music at Robinson College, Cambridge University.  He has held a fellowship at Trinity College of Music, London, and an associateship at the Royal College of Music.   Educated at Cambridge University, he has appeared on the BBC and NPR radio.  Jamie is an internationally respected musician, recitalist, recording artist and teacher with a strong pastoral and community basis for music in his parish setting.

Maggie Liebenguth

Maggie joined the staff at Christ Church in September 2003.  Prior to that, she worked at St. Catherine of Siena Church.  Maggie started working their part time as the Census  Manager while her son attended Cos Cob School.  She volunteered on many various PTA projects which included reworking their after school programs.  Maggie eventually became the Finance Manager at St. Catherine.  Her prior work experience is as Office Manager for Carl Zeiss,  The List Connection and Proform Displays.  She has a BBA from Iona College.

Maggie is originally from Westchester County in New York.  She currently lives in Greenwich with her husband, David and son, Jack.

Susan Marks

Susan holds a BFA with a concentration in Printmaking and Color Theory, a major in English and a minor in Administration of Justice.  She has an extensive background in Marketing Communications that includes working in the Public Affairs department at Sotheby’s, and in Advertising, Sales Promotion, Merchandising and Public Relations at Celanese Inc., Textile Fibers Group.  After leaving Celanese for a stint with an advertising agency, she returned as a Senior Account Manager/Creative Director working in their Advertising and Print Production departments.

Susan joined the staff of Christ Church Greenwich in late 1995 as an Assistant in the Bookstore where she installed the first point of sales/inventory tracking computer system.  In August of 1998, she was hired, part time, as the Director of Marketing Communications.  She became a full time employee in March 2008.

She has won numerous design awards, including a Polly Bond Award from the Episcopal Communicators for the Christ Church Greenwich Year of Discernment logo and the visioning Case Statement.  Additionally, she was included in the 1986 edition of Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, in Who’s Who Among Business Professionals, 2008, and Princeton Premier, 2009.

Susan is a native of Greenwich and was baptized at Christ Church Greenwich in 1964.  She currently resides on Quaker Hill in Pawling, NY.

Chuck Morrell


Head Sexton, 203.869.6600, x-27

Chuck is an honorably discharged U. S. Navy veteran.  He served from 1979-1983 active duty aboard the U. S. S. Bainbridge which was a nuclear powered cruiser stationed in San Diego, CA.  Chuck’s Rate & Rank was 2nd Class Quartermaster specializing in Navigation, and as a Master Helmsman.  He made two West-Pacs, deploying overseas, wherethe Bainbridge was the first ship on station in the Gulf of Oman at the start of the Iranian crisis.

After being honorably discharged, CHuck worked for Stamford Insulation.  He also worked for Feda Drywall where he learned the art of taping, specializing in drywall finishing.

Chuck joined the staff of Christ Church Greenwich in 1987 as a Sexton, and was appointed Head Sexton in 1990.  He has lived in Greenwich for most of his life, and was very active in the town baseball leagues growing up.  Chuck graduated from Greenwich High School in 1976.  He is married to his lovely wife of 18 years, Phyllis, and has a son, Everett Morrell, III.

Hal Roark


Seminarian

Hal is the seminarian from Berkeley Divinity School at Yale who has been interning at Christ Church Greenwich since August 2011.  Hal, his wife, Lori, and their daughter, Lily, moved to Connecticut in June 2010 from New Orleans, Louisiana.  Lori teaches at The Birch Wathen Lenox School in Manhattan.  Lily goes to school there.  Lily was confirmed at Christ Church Greenwich in 2012.  Hal will be ordained a Transitional Deacon on April 13, 2013 in his home diocese of New Orleans, LA.  His priestly ordination will be in October 2013.  Hal graduates from Yale Divinity School and Berkeley Divinity School at Yale in May, 2013.  While at Christ Church Greenwich, Hal has been involved in numerous activities, including mission trips to local service sites, Episcopal 101, and the creation of two “Rite 3” services: one for children and families and another for people in 12 step recovery groups.  Hal has also assisted liturgically at Sunday worship services.
