Meet our Adjunct Clergy

We are blessed with a talented group of Adjunct Clergy….

The Rev’d Sherman Beattie is a long time member and participant in the life of the congregation.  He has served in varieties of church and educational ministries.  Sherman has a passion for partnership and leadership, and he recently spear-headed the support for the education of one of the primary young leaders in the Chinese Church who was doing work here in the U.S.

The Rev’d Hillary Bercovicci
is the Scholar-in-Residence at Trinity Church, Greenwich.  He has served in Episcopal parishes in his previous ministry and is a gifted teacher, preacher, and counselor himself.  As time permits, he helps at various Christ Church Greenwich occasions of worship and he and Jim Lemler do team teaching of Bible studies on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am.

The Rev’d Ian Cron was the founding pastor of the non-denominational Trinity Church, Greenwich.  He is a noted preacher and teacher who is helping us in both of those roles while he also finishes a doctoral program and writes more books!  He directs our new series, Courage & Faith:  A Conversation that explores spirituality and leadership through hosting some of the most exciting and significant speakers in the Christian world today.  This program is in itself an adjunct and ancillary program for Christ Church Greenwich.

The Rev’d Canon Kenneth Leonczyk
has served interesting and vital ministries in the Episcopal Church as a campus pastor, parish priest, and missionary.  He is a practicing attorney who moved with his wife, Ashley, who is in her final year Yale Law School, to Greenwich during the past few months.

The Rev’d Dr. Fleming Rutledge  is nationally and internationally known for her writing, teaching, and preaching.  She has been a part of Christ Church Greenwich for many years calling this parish home with her husband, Dick.  She is on the road a great deal as a highly sought educator and conference leader.

Christ Church Greenwich has been blessed by creative and committed clergy through the years; truly a collegium of ordained leaders.  Our present clergy family involves three full time clergy and a growing group of “adjunct” clergy who give of their time without stipend from the parish.  They represent a rich background of skills and experiences and greatly enhance our offerings and service in this parish.
You will have seen, and will see, these adjuncts in a variety of roles.  Christ Church Greenwich is so very thankful for their presence and doubly thankful as we enter a time when The Rev’d Pam Strobel will be on sabbatical (March 1 - May 31).

We are grateful to these five talented individuals for being present with us, as we are grateful for the many gifts of our full time clergy staff.  We welcome them to our parish family and thank them for the opportunity to provide additional Nourishment for the Journey.
