Inspiring Stories

“Can you imagine your life without Christ Church? We can’t.

That welcoming Good Shepherd window, the heavenly music, our children clustered around the font for a baptism, inspiring sermons, challenging bible studies and forums, life-changing outreach service opportunities, gathering around the outdoor Christmas tree—and so much more.

Christ Church is also our spiritual beacon, a place that calls us to share our faith and ourselves in an amazing community where we are welcomed and cared for, both in good times and not so good times. No other place provides that same acceptance, comfort, shared tears and shared laughter. It is, truly, our sanctuary.

We want future generations to experience that same sense of belonging, of possibility and hope. Saint Matthew put it best (my paraphrase): ‘Where your heart is, there should your treasure be also.’

That’s why we support the Arbor Society. Please join us!”

I have been a member of Christ Church Greenwich all my life, that being 80 years.I started coming as a child, married there and both my daughters were baptized there. My Mother and Father and youngest daughter Valerie are in the Memorial Garden where I will eventually be.

Christ Church has always been in my estate planning ever since I made out my first will. That goes back about 65 years and the amount changes as the needs become greater. The church has always been a second home for me. I served in many capacities back in the 1980 and through 2000.  Vestry, Property committee, volunteering in the church office for 25 years and the alter guild to mention a few.  My happiest times.

As you can see, the church means the world to me and I wish to give my thanks and treasure down the road in appreciation for how its has enriched my life to date.
