Youth Ministry

If you are looking for cheesy games or irrelevant lessons about faith, the youth program at Christ Church Greenwich is not really the place for you. 

However, if you are looking for real relationships and real fun and discussion about real topics that are going on in your life and in your families and in your schools DRIVE (for 5th-8th grades) and Campaigners (for 9-12th grades) is the place to be on Sundays.

Life in middle school and high school is ever changing and there are many hills and turns as you are discovering who you really are and what you believe—basically life is a wild “road trip.”  Instead of “Nourishment for the Journey” as the tag-line of our church states, think about it as more of a “Snacks for the Drive” or “Fuel on the Campaign Trail.”

We would love for you to join us on this crazy ride and discover life and faith in an atmosphere of fun that is on the line (but not over!) and safe for you to be who you are.  And certainly you can bring along your friends and classmates on this “road trip” as WyldLife and Young Life Club are great places for us to be together and extend our faith.

DRIVE:  A Group for Middle Schoolers
Sundays, 10:10 am • Youth Room
Twice a month, 5th - 8th graders are invited to explore their “road trip” of faith.  Through games and other fun activities, they’ll enjoy fellowship, as well as exploring and discussing what drives them, and what drives their peers.

CAMPAIGNERS:  A Group for High Schoolers
Sundays, 7:30 pm • Youth Room

High Schoolers are invited to join Campaigners on Sunday nights.  Along with a larger group of peers they will discover how a life of faith is relevant in everyday activities and what it means when you are on a “campaign” of a common purpose and ideas.

CONFIRMATION • Sundays, 10:10 am / 3:30 pm • Parish House

Confirmation classes run October through May and are open to any youth in 8th grade or older who desire to confirm their faith.  Classes will take place twice a month at 10:10 am in the Parish House, except for the occasion in which a U2charist is to take place.  On these Sundays, confirmands will gather at 3:30 pm and stay through the evening service.  For more details, contact Diana Sanderson.

U2CHARIST
Held on the occasional Sunday at 5:00 pm in the Chapel, this contemporary form of worship led by our youth/teens, frames itself around the music of rock band U2 and draws our focus towards the Millennium Development Goals.  The purpose and vision behind this service is to bring together a community of people that share a common love of Jesus Christ in a service that is relevant and practical to adults and youth alike.  Along with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of U2 we will honor and serve God with uses of gifts, talents and finances to reach those around us. Come worship with us!
