Wendy Claire Barrie

Director, Children’s Ministries

Wendy Claire Barrie, as the new Director of Children’s Ministry, is enthused about this new possibility for ministry at Christ Church Greenwich; seeing a great and hopeful opportunity to reach out, to invite, and to offer innovative programs that form and transform.  She comes to us from All Saints’ Church, Pasadena, California, where she served as Children’s Minister.  Previously, Wendy has served at both the Church of the Epiphany and the Church of the Heavenly Rest in New York City and at St. Margaret’s Church and School in San Juan Capistrano, California.  She holds a degree from New York University, is a consultant to Church Publishing/Morehouse Education Resources, and has been a presenter at the Kanuga Camp and Conference Center.  Wendy has also offered service to the wider Episcopal Church in a variety of ways and is certified in Godly Play (one of the most vibrant of Christian formation offerings in our church today.) As one of the most highly respected educators in the Episcopal Church, we will be blessed to share in, as well as learn and grow from, her wealth of experience and knowledge of the creative programs and opportunities for the formation of children and their families in our faith.
