Sekolo Projects
Former choir girl, Elizabeth Robinson, founded Sekolo Projects Inc. to support and AIDS education program in Nambia, Southern Africa. With the help of an Outreach start-up grant from Christ Church Greenwich, Sekolo has successfully completed the pilot phase of the program.
Elizabeth runs teacher-training workshops in rural Nambia. The workshops provide teachers with the much needed training and resources to effectively teach students about HIV prevention. In June and July, Elizabeth led fourteen workshops in the southern regions of Nambia. She worked with 89 teachers – educating them to help save the lives of over 3,000 students. Sekolo Projects Inc. is a non-profit organization, registered 501(c)3. Following the successful completion of the pilot phase, Sekolo is now fundraising to take this education program to all Nambian schools. For more information, visit the Sekolo web site.
